Admin Staff
Our staff is carefully chosen and trained to provide the care, affection, and guidance necessary to help children be
successful in their educational journey. Our programs help children grow in all areas of development including physical,
cognitive, social, and emotional.

Laura Evans
Owner/Director
Laura Evans joined the early childhood education field back in 1987. Her entire
career has been here caring for the children of Dayton and the surrounding area. She is a member of several early
childhood education groups and currently sits on the board of Baytown Early Educators. Laura is a longtime member of the Dayton Chamber of Commerce and is an active parishioner of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church here in Dayton. She and her husband, Travis, have been residents of Dayton their entire adult lives and raised their 3 children here in our
community.

Tara Brown
Co-Director
Tara joined our program back in 2001 as a 2-year-old teacher. Over the years she has worked with children from 6 weeks of age all the way through school agers and was our cook for a time. After we moved to our current location, she took on an administrative role overseeing many aspects of our program. In 2019 Tara received her director’s certification and stepped into the role of Co-Director. She is a life-long resident of southeast Texas and an alumnus of nearby Barbers Hill High School. Tara has been married to her husband, Clay since 1995 and together they are raising 2 boys in nearby Mont Belvieu.

Mary Burrell
Program Manager
Mary has been with Kreative Kids since its inception in 1994. For years she was our lead Pre-K teacher. In 2002 when our program grew for the first time and was split into 2 locations, Mary oversaw the
entire School Ager Program facility until 2014 when we grew again and moved to our current building which allowed us
all to be together again. Since then, she has worked as the program manager overseeing things such as transportation
coordination, building maintenance, and daily operations as well as being the smiling face that greets our students every morning. Mary and her husband, David, are longtime residents of Liberty County where they have raised their family.
